Waste and recycling (WAR) officers
WAR officers can visit schools to take assemblies, assist with composting clubs, eco schools, give talks for different areas of the curriculum and can be involved in eco-days, environment afternoons; a guest appearance by ERYC, the composting bear, or ERYCA, the recycling bear, can be arranged if relevant.
The East Riding of Yorkshire Council recycling trailer can also visit the school so parents can receive information on waste minimisation and recycling at the end of the day. All school talks are tailored to a school’s requirements. The WAR officers are:
