All Hull City Council customers have been informed in writing of the change to their domestic refuse collections over Bank Holiday periods including August 2008.
There will be no collections on Monday 25th August 2008. All refuse collections that week will take place one day later than usual (normal Monday collections will take place on Tuesday, Friday collections will take place on Saturday etc)
Graham White, Group Manager for Policy, Strategy & Operations at Hull City Council said: “We hope this change to collection arrangements during the National Bank Holiday periods will ensure that refuse is removed for residents at the earliest opportunity.”
Bins should be presented by 7.30am on the day of collection, at the boundary of properties. All refuse must be contained within the wheeled bin with the lid closed.
There is no change to the previously advertised recycling collections (black box, blue bin, brown bin etc).
